Law

This module introduces you to law as it operates in real-world contexts through a study of the key principles of the law of England and Wales. You will develop strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills while learning how to construct clear and persuasive legal arguments. Areas of study include the English Legal System, Criminal Law, Contract Law, and Tort Law, providing an excellent foundation for further legal studies and careers in the legal profession.

Business

In this module, you will gain a broad understanding of how businesses operate and the vital role they play in society. You will examine decision-making in a fast-changing and competitive business environment while developing a critical understanding of modern organisations. Key areas of study include business and its environment, human resource management, marketing, operations management, and finance and accounting—giving you a well-rounded introduction to the world of business.

Available for September intake only.

Economics

In this module, you will be introduced to key economic concepts and theories through the lens of real-world issues that shape everyday life. You will explore topics such as the price system, government intervention, international trade, exchange rates, market failure, and the theory of the firm. At a macro level, you will study employment, inflation, economic growth, and development, gaining a deeper understanding of how economies function and how policy decisions impact society.

Accounting

In this module, you will discover how accounting underpins real-world business decisions. You will explore the role and responsibilities of accountants and gain a solid grounding in financial accounting, cost accounting, and management accounting. Along the way, you will learn how to interpret, analyse, and evaluate accounting information, enabling you to communicate insights clearly to key stakeholders. The transferable skills you develop here will form a strong foundation for further study and open doors to careers in accounting, finance, and related professional fields.

Mathematics

This module helps you develop logical, independent thinking and the ability to work confidently with mathematical information. You will learn to model real-world situations mathematically, analyse results, and reflect critically on your findings. By extending your range of mathematical techniques, you will be equipped to tackle more complex and unstructured problems. The module covers Pure Mathematics 1, Pure Mathematics 3, Probability and Statistics 1, and Probability and Statistics 2.

Literature in English

In this module, you will develop a deep appreciation of English literature through the study of a wide range of texts, forms, and styles. You will sharpen your analytical skills, explore the nuances of language, and learn how to express your ideas with clarity and confidence. You will also develop strong academic writing skills, producing well-structured essays supported by sound arguments, textual evidence, and reputable external sources.

Further Mathematics

Designed for high-achieving students, this module builds on A-Level Mathematics and is ideal if you enjoy tackling complex and abstract problems. You will deepen your mathematical understanding while developing advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. This module provides an excellent foundation for future studies in science- and maths-based fields such as computer science, medicine, psychology, statistics, management, and actuarial science.

Chemistry

This module opens your eyes to the chemistry behind the world around you - from the food you eat and the air you breathe to the fuels, textiles, and materials used in everyday life. You will study topics such as atoms and reactions, structure and bonding, alcohols, polymers, and hydrocarbons, building a strong understanding of chemical principles and applications. If you are considering a degree in fields such as Medicine, Pharmacy, Environmental Science, Veterinary Science, or other science-based disciplines, this module provides an excellent starting point.

Biology

This module equips you with a strong foundation in core biological principles through the study of cell biology, genetics, physiology, ecology, and evolution. Physics
